therapy is a business

a private practice workshop

“To open a shop is easy. To keep it open is an art.”

                                   —Chinese proverb

How do you fill the chairs in your waiting room?

  • Are you are a graduate student? A trainee?

  • An intern working through those 3000 hours?

  • A recently licensed clinician?

  • Or a licensed professional looking to start a private practice for the first time?

If you are considering a career in private practice, this workshop is for you!

When we are in grad school, no one tells us that when we start a private practice, we are actually starting a business. The number one surprise (and often dismay) for professionals who are hanging their shingles for the first time is that they had no idea they would be spending so much time marketing.
